thanks yall!!
I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! AHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHA! It takes a lot to make a singer yell on her day off..LOL! #1 ON BILLBOARD WILL DO IT!
MOST of all, and FIRST of all I wanna thank my MOM! For telling me I can be anything I want, and helping me be everything I am.
It is the 5th of July going on 12 pm. Est. And I’m sitting on my bed just enjoying the silence and the heat and basking in the contentment of a hard earned success. I had a “Private Party” one woman album release party in my house last night until 6 in the morning. I took a bath at 3 am and put on my white dress and danced for 3 hours….LOL! I’m so childish…Hahahahhalolol!
Contrary to the lower half of the reviews I’ve been reading, this is not the album of a woman unscathed, it’s not a bunch of platitudes and empty optimism. TESTIMONY vol. 1 is the musical manifestation of a person who dug way deeper than the surface of anger to find a place of true healing and wisdom about love. I’m sure we all know how hard forgiving is. I know my “pretty” music makes it sound idealized to some but it really is my truth and its a TRUTH I worked very hard for. THAT is what I celebrated last night… This Independence Day represents my freedom from the fear of pain. I now know that I have the tools to deal with the ups and downs of love.
I said all of that to say, if I can go from the rock Bottom of a broken heart, crying on the living room floor, to the top of the Billboard charts and singing with Prince, Stevie wonder and Chaka Khan at the BET awards (hey that rhymes..LOL!) I know that I am being rewarded for my perseverance.
As I grow I understand that:
#1 everything changes and I will be on the floor again and
#2 when I am on the floor again, I will get back up.
# 3 I believe that “There’s Hope” because I’m shown my way back into the light time and time again.
I thank everyone who played a role in helping me bring this dream to earth. Thank you all SO! Much

I just wanted to thank you for the incredible experience at Chastian Park. I had always connected to your music, but the performance and your free spirit were definitely a confirmation of your passion and dedication to your cause. My boyfriend and I were there from SC and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The rain fell hard but it only heightened the experience. If it werent for the rain, I wouldnt have had the nerve to come as close to the stage as I did.
I love your music and your mentality that shines through in your lyrics. I share some of the same perspectives in life. Honestly, I must say that your influence through your ministry must have played a signifcant part on my outlook on life. My mother passed when I was in the 10th grade, and I can’t say that I have had a consistent female figure who I have felt comfortable with sharing my most inner thoughts and struggles. Your music has helped me to confront situations and reflect on situations in the past. My moral character and integrity have been influenced by songs such as “Back to the Middle” and “Not the Average Girl” just to name a few.
Today, I can say that I have grown into an independent, confident woman who enjoys the challenges and experiences that life has to offer. However, my very optimism and and courage that keeps me afloat today have definitely been empowered by your music and the experiences you have shared.
I really wanted to take the time to sincerely thank you for your dedication to healing and empowerment. I know that you have reached into the lives and souls of many other fans, and I hope the best for you and your family (you and your mother were simply beautiful).
One of many healed and uplifted fans,
Vanessa Lawson

I just love and admire your music so much. It just keep me thinking happy. I love you so much I am your number one fan.
I adore ur music alot especially the song The Truth.
You’re different than most popular artists and I hope you stay that way. Forgiving someone and loving them even if they dont love you anymore…hardest thing ever but such a good message.
i love your music. your music is what helps move on i a day. you music express me the way i cant express myself, but i also introduced your music to my aunite who was or maybe still is going thriught hard times as well as me and she really loves your music. amd what is shocking to me is that i am a fourteen-year old girl who deeply needs to find herself and i found it in your music. i guess what i can say is dont stop doing what i think you do best. you are one of the best vocalist in theia world dont ever stop because if you did i’d be left even more confused. so i love your music more than i love me.
i just want to say I LOVE YOUR MUSIC. you are so inspirational and i can relate top some of the music that you sing and i liove to hesr you voice on the daily and feel awful for the people who have never listened to the voice that you carry. ince agin I LOVE YOU MUSIC.
