…..Though the relationship I was in brought this to my attention, in seeking to understand the pain, I realized that I have tried to be all things to all people from the time I was a young child. Coming into my womanhood had shown me that there is an appropriate time for everything, but there is still a space of honesty in the sacred space of each of our hearts that should be alive where ever we are.
There are times when I find myself with Sting and Bette Midler, then I’m at the CBS morning show and then the Apollo and then at the grocery store and some times I wonder do I belong here? My lesson has been to KNOW, that I belong where ever I am and be comfortable with exactly WHO I am and be AUTHENTIC in that moment. YES we can all work to get people to like us but I have found its much better to have someone like you for you but if they don’t that’s cool too. And when it comes to LOVE, I’ve heard it said so many times before, but now I understand….be yourself and let the chips fall where they may…. It’s a CHOICE I remember to make in each moment. This is the lesson that inspired the song I CHOOSE

I ABSOLUTELY love the song CHOOSE! It was my favorite and my anthem for my 30’s (Nov. 06). I so agree with the things you say in this song and I think every girl and woman should listen to it every morning to remind them that this is a new day and they choose who they are going to be in it.
I truly appreciate your gift and how you have chosen to use it. I was so happy when this cd came out because your music fills a void that not many other artists can fill. Your words make me think and encourage me to be better than I was yesterday.Thank you!
well all i want to say is thank you for all of the great things that you do. you music helps me move on in everyday that i wake up. i have introduced your music to my aunite and she loves it. she is just now finding her true love after 20 years of being married to a man who talked to her as if she were nothing. and it is hard for her to let that special man love her in fear that he may not love her forever ans her soon to be x husband. you help me in a way that is hard to understand myself it is me and my thoughts and i cant express them so thank you alot. you are a very very greatperson and you may hear that all the time but when i say it i mean it in the upmost way. so thank you again.
